“Flame Seeker Phoenyx” necklace from Obsydian Moon

by Mr. Wentworth on November 29, 2010

The central piece is nickel silver and aluminum sheet riveted with brass and copper tube rivets. It was then textured and sanded for comfortable wear and to give it a brushed finish. The central stone is a spectacular carnelian circle with internal patterns and good translucence. The necklace strands are various fire based gemstones including lava rock, carnelian and red jasper with brass and copper plated brass heishe beads and glass beads.

The three strands of this necklace are of graduated size to create an interesting drape when worn. It is a very lightweight and comfortable piece.

Allergy Notice:
Nickel silver is an alloy of tin, copper and nickel and contains no metallic silver. If you have an allergy to nickel, be sure to coat the metal that touches your skin with clear nail polish. If you don’t choose to use the clear nail polish or do not need to, then wipe the piece down with clear mineral oil after each time you wear it to keep the copper content from tarnishing.
