Child's Play

Child's Play is a community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Since it's founding by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins of the online comic strip Penny Arcade in 2003, Child's Play has donated more than 5 million dollars in toys, games, books, and cash for sick children in hospitals across the U.S. and the world.

“Some of these kids are in pretty bad shape. Imagine being stuck alone in a hospital over the holidays, getting something from a fellow gamer would really raise their spirits. Some of the stuff the hospital will give away for kids to keep, while other gifts (like consoles) will be kept by the hospital for patients to use throughout the year.”

In 2008 alone, Child's Play raised over 1.4 million dollars in toys and cash for 60 different children's hospitals around the globe.
